Fibreglass Paint: Gelcoat, Flowcoat and Tooling Gel
Ace Fibreglass Supplies carry a range of different paint and pigment options for adding colour to fibreglass, including gelcoat, flowcoat and tooling gel. Our experienced staff members can assist you in selecting the best product to suit your needs and can help you match the colour as closely as possible.
Gelcoat: On Your Product
Gelcoat is a specifically formulated polyester coating that is applied to the mould surface and becomes a part of the finished product. It also acts to protect the fibreglass from the environment by providing aesthetically appealing surfaces that are durable and long lasting.
Flowcoat: On The External Product
Flowcoat provides a weather and wear resistant surface and is applied over the top of glass-reinforced products.
Tooling Gel: In Your Mould
Tooling gel is a much stronger paint then your standard gel coat or flow coat; it is much more hardy. It goes inside the mould as opposed to being applied externally afterwards.
Pigments and Tints
Pigments and tints are used to influence the colour you see and how that colour will look years from now in a wide range of environments. The selected pigment is added to a neutral gel coat or flow coat at a specific percentage ratio mix. Ace Fibreglass Supplies carry a large range of colours to select from.
